What is Ladder Genie?
Ladder Genie is a hoisting system designed to lift roofing shingles safely and efficiently using most aluminum extension ladders.
What ladders are compatible with Ladder Genie?
It is designed for Grade 1 and Grade 2 aluminum extension ladders with:
- Base width: 16¼” to 17½”
- Fly width: 15⅛” to 16½”
Minimum ladder capacity: 225 lbs.
What ladders and accessories are NOT compatible with Ladder Genie?
Ladders with Stabilizers or Guide Brackets
Ladder Genie cannot be used with ladders that have stabilizers, guide brackets, or any non-approved accessories. These interfere with the trolley’s movement and can cause equipment failure or accidents.
Ladders Below Minimum Capacity
Your ladder must have a minimum weight capacity of 225 lbs. Using a ladder with a lower rating can lead to structural failure.
Non-Aluminum Extension Ladders
Ladder Genie is designed for Grade 1 and Grade 2 aluminum extension ladders only. Wooden or fiberglass ladders are not recommended.
Incorrect Ladder Dimensions
Ladder Genie requires:
- Base section width: 16¼” to 17½”
- Fly section width: 15⅛” to 16½”
If your ladder falls outside these dimensions, the trolley sliders will not fit properly.
Ladders with Non-Standard End Caps
If the ladder’s end caps obstruct the trolley’s movement, it will not operate correctly. Angled plastic end caps work best.
Ladders with Additional Accessories
Any add-ons like standoff arms (other than Ladder Genie’s own standoff), custom brackets, or aftermarket modifications can interfere with safe operation.
What is the maximum lifting capacity?
The Ladder Genie can lift up to 155 lbs (approximately 2 bundles of shingles).
Do you ship internationally?
At this time we are only shipping to Canada, however we plan to begin sales to the United States in the near future.
